45th Anniversary of the 1st World Championship Snowmobile Derby was a great success. It marked the largest number of entries of Antique Snowmobiles for the ASCOA's (Antique Snowmobile Club of America) winter events.  This 2008 celebration marked 45 years to the day when the 1st Derby was begun on the Chanticleer grounds and Dollar Lake. 

POND HOCKEY! Feb. 15, 16, 17, 2008 surpassed all records!  The 3rd annual LaBatt Blue USAdult Pond Hockey Tournament drew 142 teams representing over 23 states and Canada.  The 18 rinks hosted a flurry of action on Dollar Lake for the three day tournament.  The Chanticleer Inn is proud to be the host resort for this original USAdult Hockey sanctioned tournament.  40 teams on 6 rinks hosted in 2006, 82 teams on 12 rinks in2007, and 142 teams on 18 rinks in 2008, clearly shows its huge success!  It was announced this weekend that 2009 will bring this spectacular event once again to Eagle River, WI and Dollar Lake.
