ends"... where we delight in fulfilling your every
expectation year-round. Chanticleer Inn sits peacefully
on 40 acres of beautifully wooded acreage and borders on
private tranquil Dollar Lake as well as on Lake Voyageur,
one of 28 connecting
lakes.
Ahh, the feel and smell of new life...the ice is breaking,
the trees are budding and fishing season is about to begin.
It's spring at the Chanticleer. Don't forget to pack your
fishing gear, and bring home the trophy musky, or take the
kids pan fishing. Hire a local guide or cast from one of
our many piers or boardwalks that embrace our rambling shoreline.
We can cure your Spring Fever when you join us for a few
days of rejuvenation, relaxation and recreation.

In
the summer, picture yourself floating peacefully in an inner
tube, basking in the sun, or taking advantage of the Resort's
boat rentals; fishing boats, pontoon boats, kayaks, or canoes.
Bring your own boat; enjoy the wind rush by as you ski or
wakeboard the glassy waters of the world famous Eagle River
Chain. We have plenty of free docking available. Available
at nearby marinas, are speedboats and personal watercraft
for rent.
If golfing is your passion, take advantage of one of our
16 nearby courses within an hour's drive. Several 9-hole
courses as well as 18-hole courses are available. 200 feet
away is the closest golf course bordering on Lake
Voyageur. Whether it's summer, spring, or fall, hop on a
bicycle and explore our countless miles of paved back roads
or go off-roading through the nearby Nicolet National Forest.
Play tennis on our lakeside court. Enjoy a game of
basketball, or beach volleyball. OR, just sit quietly, observe
nature at its finest; from soaring eagles, to frolicking
chipmunks, or playful otters. A great variety of songbirds
make their home in our forests, as well as Woodpeckers,
Mallards, Great Blue Herons and the Loon family that can
be seen and heard on nearly every lake. Don't forget that
stargazing is at its finest here with clear skies. And,
if you're particularly observant, you will be thrilled to
enjoy the Northern Lights putting on their colorful display.

Speaking
of color, fall is an amazingly beautiful time of year to
visit the Chanticleer. Indian Summer, as some call it, presents
magnificent color and is sure to entice the "camera
hunter" in you, while crisp air and crunchy leaves
underfoot are sure to bring back memories of days gone by.
Enjoy the present and take in the scenery as you stroll,
jog, or bike down our back roads and forest trails... take
in the scent of wildflowers and fragrant pines.
Chanticleer is known for winter fun for the whole family!
Skiing, snowmobiling, ice fishing, sledding, snow shoeing
are available right outside our door. In fact, the snowmobile
trail groomer turns around in our driveway, and lays out
a smooth white sheet of trail for over 500 miles of exciting
terrain in the Eagle River area. Did you know Chanticleer
is the birthplace of the famous World Championship Snowmobile
Derby? Dollar Lake was the site of the 1st two Derbies.
Excellent downhill ski areas are between 30 min. and just
over an hour away. Enjoy our own 40 acres of beautiful woods
and trails for sledding, cross country skiing, or snow-shoeing.
Try Dollar Lake for ice fishing, or venture out into the
other beautiful woodland areas and lakes in our county.
Exciting hockey games are abundant for the sport enthusiast
just a couple miles down the road at the famed historical
Eagle River "domed" Ice Arena.
There is nothing like the quiet beauty of the Northwoods
as snow is falling gently to the earth. After a day of fun,
come sit and relax by the fireplace in our cozy cocktail
lounge in the Main Lodge. Sip warm beverages; enjoy Chef
Gary's wonderful food in our Restaurant and exchange tales
of the day's adventures!
